Depending on your expectations, we will recommend either auto-enrolment or commissioned provisioning. Auto-enrolment is not a final choice as you can engage additional services at any time. The choice remains yours.

The Materials are the web assets that dictate how your website will appear. If you want a website to bear your trademarks, your images or have a particular website design, then you have the option of either engaging third party web developers or commissioning our web developers to develop the Materials for you. Developers would make use of the Materials Toolkit allowing integration with our platform. Alternatively, you can select auto-enrolment where you will be prompted to select Materials from a limited set of options. In this case you can select a custom color pallette and set of fonts to customise your choice. The advantage of auto-enrolment is that you can be up and running today.
The domain name of your website is the web address your customers use to browse to your website. In our case it is maximillian-workflows.com. If you choose auto-enrolment, then you must choose a domain name prefix that represents your business and your fully qualified domain name will then be your prefix with our domain name appended on the end. For example, if you choose abc, then your domain name will be abc.maximillian-workflows.com. You cannot choose a prefix that has already been taken. If you choose to use your own domain name, then you can provision the domain name yourself and manage it yourself, or you can commission us to do so on your behalf. There is an additional yearly expense in maintaining your own domain name that you must manage between your domain name provider and yourself. The cost is typically about fifty pounds a year. Most accounts on the platform choose to do this.
The platform provides basic email sending in the management of users. This means that you can send basic emails related to user registration and password recovery. The email addresses used will use the maximillian-workflows.com domain. If you wish to define and send your own emails, then you will need a SMTP provider. You can organise this yourself or we can provision an account for you. This option constitutes an additional expense separate from your subscription with us. We use mailtrap.io, but there are many options at very affordable prices.
Our current provider is GoCardless. You will need to configure an account with them. GoCardless take commission on every transaction but otherwise the costs are very low. We will be looking at other payment providers in the near future.
At all times it must be clear that Maximillian Workflows is a platform provider and not affiliated with your business in any way. When you request auto-enrolment, you will not have your own domain or email provider and as such the domain names used bear our identity. We therefore require links to be present at the bottom all web pages that make it clear that we perform web hosting and that that is the limit of our involvement. These are the so-called 'powered by' links. If you wish to remove these marks, then you must commission your own materials and your own domain.
You can now make your choice. Bear in mind that selecting auto-enrolment does not mean that we cannot provide additional facilities at a later point in time. There really is no downside to signing up immediately.
